Alexander Ludwig and Anna Sophia Robb star as Sara and Seth in “Race to Witch Mountain” I had the chance to preview the DVD, which is being released on August 4th, and enjoyed seeing the film again, as well as all the bonus features. The stars, who portray aliens in the film, talked about working with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, seeing their face on the big screen and meeting for the first time.

Did you have fun working with Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson on your new movie, Race To Witch Mountain?
AnnaSophia: Definitely! Dwayne is so cool.
Alexander: He is such a professional. He’s unbelievable! He’s such a good guy – and he’s always on time.
AnnaSophia: Dwayne is very supportive, but the thing I love about him the most is the way that he really respects everybody on the set. He’s a very giving guy.

Walt Disney Studios relived their 1975 classic Escape to Witch Mountain with a new modern-day spin in the popular remake Race to Witch Mountain, which hits the shelves on DVD and a Blu-ray/DVD combo set on August 4.

This new remake got a revamped cast with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Carla Gugino and even the grown-up child stars of the original film, Kim Richards and Ike Eisenmann. Of course, the new film also needed new child stars which they got in the wonderful combination of AnnaSophia Robb and Alexander Ludwig, who portray the alien siblings Sara and Seth.

I had the chance to speak with Robb and Ludwig over the phone recently about their new film on DVD and BD, and here’s what they had to say.

- So, first of all, I was kind of curious about how you first heard about this role and if you were both familiar with the original two films at all?

AnnaSophia Robb : I first heard about the film when I had a meeting with Andy Fickman, our fabulous director, and he pitched me the project and I read it and loved it. I’d love to work with Andy and Dwayne (”The Rock” Johnson) and then it just kind of snowballed from there. They actually sent me the original films and it was just exciting because they’re such classic films and it was nice to think that we were going to make the next chapter in the Witch Mountain series.

The film will be released in a barebones single-disc edition ($35.99 SRP), a two-disc Special Edition ($44.99 SRP) and a three-disc Blu-ray edition, that also comes with the standard edition DVD ($51.99 SRP). The two-disc and Blu-ray will also come equipped with a DisneyFile Digital Copy. The film stars Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Carla Gugino, AnnaSophia Robb and Alexander Ludwig.

Las Vegas taxi driver Jack Bruno (Dwayne Johnson) sets off on the adventure of a lifetime when two mysterious teens ask him to drive them deep into the Nevada desert. Jack agrees to take siblings Sara (AnnaSophia Robb) and Seth (Alexander Ludwig) to Witch Mountain, a shadowy government outpost devoted to studying inexplicable phenomena – including UFO sightings. But his young passengers are no ordinary teens.
